Access Services

.MISSION

The Access Services division of the library is committed to providing our patrons with the circulating and reserve (print and electronic) materials they need in order to succeed.  This includes regular circulating books, 3-day loan books, in-house reserve textbooks and audiovisual programs (DVDs and VHS tapes). We are committed to maintaining accurate records of patrons, create and maintain reserve collection materials. To maintain accurate statistics of library use.

SERVICES

  1. Circulation of general, reserves, and interlibrary loan materials
  2. CLICS (a service that allows the user to borrow a book from another CUNY campus)
  3. Interlibrary loans (ILLIAD)
  4. Receiving library fines and fees

POLICIES

All BCC students, faculty and staff with a current validated BCC ID card are allowed to borrow materials and use library resources on and off campus. Students, faculty, and staff  affiliated with other CUNY colleges are also allowed to borrow general circulating materials, this excludes our reserves and 3-day loan textbooks.
